One of the unique aspects of the Connect to Comprehension program is that it focuses on upper-level comprehension skills while students are still learning to decode. For example, as students are reading one-syllable words with the CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) pattern in Level A, they are learning about cause/effect, making inferences, and identifying main ideas. Being able to decipher and understand higher level skills creates greater comprehension and growth so our students don't struggle when reading. What better gift can we give our students than help them to move to higher thinking!
